Bitch Magazine’s analysis of the Huffington Post’s linkbaiting technique is especially resonant because I doubt many people have even caught it. As a regular reader of the HuffPo, I myself have obviously seen these articles and techniques on a regular basis, but it took this video specifically pointing it out to me for me to even take notice. Because we are so consistently berated with this type of attention-grabbing, it hardly even makes an impression on us anymore (at least not consciously).

I would be interested to see what would happen to HuffPo’s readership if the site removed such forms of linkbaiting.

Awesome video. Can anyone tell me what this woman’s name is? I adore her.
